It is widely recognized that humans are inherently social beings; they rely on the presence of family, friends or a community for fulfilling life. Companionship is the state of being with and spending time in the company of others in a friendly, supportive and social manner. · Engaging in conversations and activities like walking, cooking, playing cards and many more with a companion can stimulate the patient’s cognitive function and improve the overall quality of life, making them more inclined to stay active and engaged. It also provides peace of mind for both the elderly individual and their family members, knowing that the senior is not alone during these activities and has a capable companion by their side.
